There is no such thing as creative people and non-creative people. There are only people who use their creativity and people who don’t. Brene Brown
The Festival of Creative Well-being is an opportunity to experience a wide variety of creative activities. It is a public afternoon that is part of the Symposium of the ANZACATA, the peak professional association for the Creative Arts Therapies in Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific. The Festival activities will be run by symposium attendee creative arts therapists and by Brisbane locals who work in community and creative settings.
The Festival is designed to encourage participants to get in touch with their creativity, have fun, connect and feel great. There is a diverse and interesting array of activities to sample, from ebru-marbling and gilding, to poetry and indigenous dance, from sewing hearts and stitching therapeutic dolls to stilt walking and much more. There will also be screenings of movies about creative arts therapies and information about creativity and health and well-being aimed at the wider public.
Everyone is welcome – all ages, all abilities. Come and join us for a fun-filled afternoon of mingling and sampling from the rich variety of inspiring creative activities on offer.
