New Online Course: I want to be an NDIS Arts Therapist

Alisoun Neville Expressive Arts Therapy

August 6 - NDIS Foundations (module 1): $150
August 20 and September 3 - NDIS Extensions (modules 2 and 3) $230
Full course (Foundations + Extensions): $380

  • Have you been thinking about registering for NDIS but not sure where to begin?
  • Are you confused about the difference between a registered and non-registered provider?
  • Do you want to register and know you need help?

The NDIS Foundations module provides an overview of the NDIS and the requirements for art therapy registration as a sole trader delivering 'therapeutic supports', and considers the option of becoming a non-registered provider. Guidelines are provided to support independent work towards NDIS registration.

The full course (Foundations + Extensions) will advance your preparation for audit by exploring the NDIS obligations and values for your practices in risk management, complaints management, incident management and human resources.  This course is suitable for people who know they are ready to start the work of preparing for NDIS registration and would like to do this in collaboration with others. It does not require a commitment to registering.

I want to be an NDIS Arts Therapist - Foundations (4 hours CPD)

Have you been thinking about registering for NDIS but not sure where to begin?
Are you confused about the difference between a registered and non-registered provider?
Do you want to register and know you need help?

'I want to be an NDIS Arts Therapist' is delivered in two parts - Foundations (module 1) and Extensions (modules 2 and 3).

Foundations (module 1) provides an overview of the NDIS and the requirements for art therapy registration as a sole trader delivering 'therapeutic supports'. Customised guidelines are provided to support independent work towards NDIS registration. No prior knowledge of NDIS is required. For attendees who simply want to know more or are not yet decided, Foundations can be attended as a stand alone module and you can consider the option of becoming a non-registered provider. If you are uncertain about whether you will want the full course, you can enrol in Extensions after attending the Foundations module but please reserve the times in your schedule.

ANZACATA Professional Membership is a prerequisite for this course. You will be asked to complete a pre-course survey and bring a creative representation to the session.

Note: This course encourages you to think deeply about your practice, which includes developing your own documentation to reflect your practice values. For attendees who need additional support, information about free external resources is provided, including AHPA sample documents. Alisoun has her own sample documents which are customised for art therapists and can be offered (to attendees only) on an optional fee for service basis.

I want to be an NDIS Arts Therapist - Extensions (9 hours CPD)

I want to be an NDIS Arts Therapist - Extension completes the full course.

Extensions will advance your preparation for audit by exploring your NDIS obligations and values for practices in risk management, complaints management, incident management and human resources. You will be asked to start work on your NDIS documentation between sessions, independently or in collaboration with others, with a minimum commitment of 4 hours.

This course is suitable for people who know they are ready to start the work of preparing for NDIS registration and see the benefits of doing this in collaboration with others. It does not require a commitment to registering and your work may continue after completion of the course.

You can enrol now or wait until you have completed the Foundations course and decided whether you want to proceed. If you are waiting until this point to confirm, please reserve these times in your schedule.

I want to be an NDIS Arts Therapist - Foundations is a pre-requisite for attending.
