ANZACATA is simplifying its structures. At its inception, it hoped to have Colleges (made up of members interested in particular aspects or modalities of creative arts therapy) and also local groups, where members might get together informally in a local area. These groups were called Colleges and Local/Regional CAT Groups. In August 2022, the ANZACATA Board agreed to maintain and increase funding to Local/Regional Groups and to offer funding for Advisory Groups (up to two per year) which get together for specific short term purposes and goals as determined by the Board. Two such groups which successfully added to ANZACATA policy and resources were the Supervision Leadership Advisory Group (which produced supervision pathways, policy and procedures in 2020 and 2021) and the NDIS Advisory Group (which produced the Arts Therapists Guide to Report Writing in 2021).
Local/Regional CAT Groups are called LRGs or Local/Regional Groups. Members may wish to establish or join these groups. They are open to ALL ANZACATA members (although they may offer events specifically for some members). They are eligible for a small annual grant to help to arrange events. ANZACATA has developed LRG Terms of Reference to help members understand their role and purpose.
