ANZACATA is offering subsidised online group supervision sessions with MAGGIE WILSON for any Regional/Remote practising members, who may find themselves unable to connect with other members or access supervision due to their isolation.

Maggie has 20 years' of supervision experience, including 8 years supervising CATs local to where she lives in regional NSW. She works from a client centred/empowerment framework based on the needs of participants and values the use of cartoons and humour in supervision. Each session will include experiential art making. During the first session, participants will be invited to prepare an artwork that depicts what their goals are for the supervision sessions and what support is important to them.

There will be 10 monthly sessions (each session is 90 minutes), with a maximum of 8 participants. The total cost for participants is $500 (paid upfront).

Note: This supervision group is primarily intended for members in regional or rural areas, and these members will be given priority. Metropolitan members who need to fulfil their required supervision hours for ANZACATA membership can register for our open subsidised group here.

These sessions will provide a safe and nurturing space to:

  1. Build a community of regionally/remotely located creative art
  2. Support participants in identifying and planning their goals for group
    supervision, professional development and self-care.
  3. Explore topics such as the challenges of setting up private practice in an
isolated location, restricted access to peers and other supports,
boundaries, ethics, record keeping, use of imagery in case studies,
    transference and countertransference in artworks.
