ANZACATA membership bundled with insurance automatically includes $10,000,000 professional indemnity insurance for Australian and New Zealand members. BMS Risk Solutions Pty Ltd (BMS) is ANZACATA’s exclusive insurance broker and brings a member-centric perspective to the design and delivery of ANZACATA’s insurance program, resulting in significant immediate and long-term benefits to members. ANZACATA members have access to the following insurance through their membership, providing access to many additional benefits:
Practice risk resources BMS experts will work with legal professionals and arts therapists to provide targeted information, tools, content and educational seminars and webinars on practice risk, thereby aligning with ANZACATA’s long-term strategy to help members manage risk.
Specialised legal protection Members have access to specialised legal services, including free initial legal advice at the time a claim, complaint or allegation is made against you.
Exceptional Service ANZACATA members will have access to BMS experts through a range of platforms, including email, phone and live chat via the ANZACATA Insurance Site. BMS will work with members to answer any questions you may have.
The ANZACATA Insurance policy can be bundled as part of any Australian or New Zealand membership purchase at Professional, Tier 4 – Provisional, Tier 3, Tier 2 and Tier 1 levels. If you currently have insurance with another company and it is not due at he same time as your ANZACATA renewal, but would like to change to our master scheme, you can contact administration to arrange a policy when your existing policy expires.
Regular interaction with clients is a consistent part of any creative arts therapy practice and may be a daily occurrence. With this in mind, you may face situations where your clients look to hold you responsible for harm they deem to have received as a result of your professional services.
Professional Indemnity insurance (PI) protects you against liability or allegations of liability for injury or damages that have resulted from a negligent act, error, omission, or malpractice that has arisen out of your professional capacity as a creative arts therapist. PI protects creative arts therapists by ensuring that your legal defence is coordinated and paid for if a claim is made against you. Your PI also covers the cost of patient compensation, or damages.
ANZACATA provide members with a comprehensive, value-added program that promotes investment in practice risk management. With the new and exclusive program brokered by BMS, members will have access to services including:
